(SportsNetwork.com) - The Chicago Blackhawks will try to post consecutive wins for the first time in 2015 when they welcome the Winnipeg Jets for Fridays Central Division battle at United Center. Chicago is 3-3-0 so far in January, alternating losses and wins since the start of the new calendar year. The Blackhawks last put together two wins with victories over Colorado and Nashville on Dec. 27 and 29, respectively. The Blackhawks have been idle since beginning a four-game homestand with Sundays 4-1 win over Minnesota. Marian Hossa, Bryan Bickell and Brad Richards all posted a goal with an assist as the Chicago Blackhawks downed the reeling Wild and improved to 15-5-1 on home ice this season. It always feels good to find the back of the net, said Bickell, who has four goals over his last five games and nine on the season. Johnny Oduya also lit the lamp for Chicago, which is tied with St. Louis for second in the Central Division at 58 points. Winnipeg is only four points behind the Blackhawks in the division standings and also holds a four-point lead over Los Angeles for the first wild card spot in the Western Conference. Corey Crawfords shutout bid was spoiled by Minnesotas Matt Cooke with 4:52 remaining in regulation, but the All-Star goaltender was otherwise stellar in a 36-save performance. Crawford will get the start tonight. He is 3-3-0 with a 2.11 goals against average in six career games against the Jets. Winnipeg, however, is 2-0 against the Blackhawks so far in the five-game season series and has claimed three straight after dropping its previous seven tilts versus Chicago. The Jets, who are 13-5-5 as the guest this season, also have won three in a row in the Windy City. Winnipeg will aim for its first three-game winning streak since early November when it takes the ice tonight in the Windy City. After recording an 8-2 rout of visiting Florida on Tuesday, the Jets began a brief two-game swing with Thursdays close victory over Dallas. Ondrej Pavelec was spectacular in net as he stopped 46 shots to help the Jets notch a 2-1 win at American Airlines Center. Pavelec came 76 seconds from a shutout, as Trevor Daley scored for the Stars with just 1:16 remaining in regulation. I felt good tonight, but its only one game, said Pavelec. It was big for me as well. I needed this one. Evander Kane scored a short-handed goal and Michael Frolik also lit the lamp for the Jets, who were outshot 38-11 by Dallas in the second and third periods. Winnipeg has won three in a row only once this season, going 3-0 from Nov. 1-4. Michael Hutchinson is expected to start tonight and the 24-year-old owns a 2-0 record and .50 GAA in his brief career against Blackhawks. One of his two outings against Chicago came earlier this season at United Center on Nov. 2, when Hutchinson made 33 saves for the lone shutout of his career.
